Convienient and good value for money
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, but not a normal hotel, this is a campus style hotel, if you are looking for a traditional hotel, this is not the one. The location is good for travelling to Ascot, Windsor, etc
The breakfast was really good value, and very well executed. They have the capacity to produce a really good hot buffet and plenty of choice on the continental side.
The walls here are paper thin - I can only imagine that this is their reasoning behind not allowing children to stay in the week.
The hotel restaurant was excellant, breakfast good value for money as much as you could eat, which set you up for the day, the only down side was the sunday morning staff, all male, not so much attention to clearing and re-setting tables as was the saturday morning. The booking of the hotel was not clear, we thought when we made the booking the sum had been taken off our account, it came as a suprise, our husbands having gone of early to the golf when we checked out to be asked for the balance of the room hire. we and several people before us were lucky to have bank / credit cad with us to settle the bill. The room needed nothing more than a good clean, no expense to the hotel chain, just a good housekeeper, the dust on the skirting board was deep, the radiator in the bahroom was discusting as was the shower tray. The staff were second to none apart from the female receptionist on our departure,Sunday 29th May she was rude, condersing and abrupt.
when booking it appeared you would stay in the house not in what appeared to be student campus accomadation
The De Vere was a very nice and quiet hotel. The morning after we explored the huge gardens and woodlands, it was fantastic.
The only thing that prevented us giving the De Version excellent marks was the really unsociable checkout time of 09:00am!!!! What was that all about? Really, that tainted the stayNormal checkout is between 11:00 & 13:0
Room was to warm and they had no air conditioning
Good for the price in the area. Reasonable room, bed, shower etc.
Car park spaces are rather tight!
Efficient friendly staff, excellent value, very comfortable and clan
Clean, comfortable accomodation and everything works
The reception staff were very helpful and gave some useful advice
The accomodation block was separate from the main hotel building
The buffet restaurant was excellent quality and value for money. The staf were very pleasant and our room was cleaned each day. The room was very comfortable and clean. The free bus coah to and from the railstation was very much appreciated.
Our room was very difficult to find. Our room number 138 was not listed on any of the entrance doors. The hotel is not like a normal hotel in that everything is under one roof, although the seperate buildings are relatively close to one another so the short travel distance was acceptable.
value for money and excellent for access to legoland
to move around the site you go outdoors and as it was raining you get wet
The comfortable rooms and the price.
Location for Ascot race course was spot on.
Maybe the 9am checkout a bit to early.....................plus the 2pm check in.
The Shower was by far the best bit of the room it was spacious, hot and powerful.
The Hotel was a bit of a dissapointment, the De Vere name tag would lead you to believe you were staying in somewhere a little nicer than a travelodge. After fighting my way over the pile of dirty sheets and towels that were literally filling the stairwell i found my room which was pretty cramped, one of the curtains was in the cupboard rather than attached to the curtain rail and the TV was onlt tuned to three channels.
